Inspect the door latch assembly for damage. If the bi metal i s burned out it won t release the dispenser door. The door latch is not repairable if it is broken you must replace it. This is a very easy repair.

It holds the dishwasher door on and the pivoting allows the dishwasher door to open and close. To determine if the bi metal has burned out use a multimeter to test it for continuity. The door latch keeps your dishwasher closed during the wash cycle. Furthermore if the door does close but the latch does not activate it is likely either a mechanical or electrical issue with the latch meaning it needs to be replaced.
